n 2010, after much deliberation and insistence from DJ, Ted followed Nautical School in Enkhuizen and earned his skippers’ papers there. In 2011 he was allowed to practice with Klaas and in 2012 he sailed in the high season as skipper on the Spes Mea. Later he continued his career at the Alexandra.

In 2007 & 2008 Ted was the mate of the Spes Mea. After a year at the Wilhelmina, Ted was back in 2010 & 2011 to sail together with Theo, DJ & Klaas de Spes.
